The Multimedia Rock History Companion is a series of modules created by Dr. Glenn Gass to accompany and enhance his Z201 and Z202 Rock Music lectures. Each module incorporates text, still images, and audio and video clips. Originally developed as individual CD-ROMs, the modules are now linked together and are delivered via a Firewire hard drive in class.
Prof. Gass created each screen in Adobe Photoshop and digitized video and audio clips. The TLTC assisted in putting the screens together and adding functionality In Adobe Director. Uses of the modules enhances an already dynamic lecture class and helps students take notes and make connections with the material. Read more about this project in the ISS newsletter.
