Prof. Ham needed a way to help students get as much exposure to the Dutch language and culture outside of class. TLTC helped Dr. Ham design and lay out her website so as to maximize the amount of material presented without confusing her students.
The website includes audio files related to the textbook exercises, sound clips and lyric files of popular Dutch music, Dutch poems as well as the audio accompanying them and images from Holland.
Dr. Ham wanted to expose her students to various aspects of Dutch culture and give them a sense of what Holland looks like. Students use this site outside of class to listen to various audio clips from poems, popular songs and dialogues while reading accompanying text in order to practice their language skills and become more familar with the look and sound of the Dutch language.
Only students enrolled in the Dutch courses can access the website since it is password-protected.
