Use one of these pre-formatted templates to create
an instructional website for any course. Netscape Composer is an
easy editor to use to customize these templates.

How to Download Instructional Website Templates
Netscape Composer 4.x
[Please note: to preserve the paths of images and other page elements,
Netscape Composer Preferences must be properly set. Go to Preferences/Composer/Publishing
and CHECK Maintain Links; UNCHECK Keep images with page.]
- In Netscape, look at the page you want to edit.
- Save As - go to the File menu and select Save
As and save the page in a www directory on your local hard
drive. (Mac users - in the dialog box, specify "source" not "text"
and save the page with the proper extension e.g., filename.htm)
- Edit as needed - go to the File menu, select Open
Page in Composer and, from the dialog box of your local directory,
select the file you just downloaded and saved. Edit file
and save again.
Preview the edited page in Netscape, and then upload the file to
your website using the FTP application of your choice.
You can also edit the source code using any text editor. Add or
edit items to suit your needs. Use the "Save As" command to rename
the file and save your changes. Upload the file to your central
webserver account. (If you do not have an IUB Central Webserver
Account, you can request one from the IUB
Webmaster's page.) Instructional Support Services consultants
and the Teaching Resources Center worked closely with the staff
of TLTC in suggesting items for inclusion in this course syllabus.
