What I've done:  I spent one summer as an intern at the American Museum of Natural
History in New York City. I spent another summer doing research for the physics
department at the University of Oklahoma, which led to co-authorship on a research paper
titled "Comparitive Direct Analysis of SN Ia Spectra".  I also spent a year and a half
working in a research lab for the IU astronomy department.  Last spring break I went to
Portland, Oregon to clear invasive species from a forest.

What I'm doing: I'm going on my third year as a loyal employee of IU's dining services,
and I'm a manager of one of the Forest co-op floors.  I'm a member of Phi Eta Sigma,
National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies.  I
volunteer at Wonderlab and I am a presenter for RAISE.  I am a big sister to a local girl
named Janie, who is the best 13-year-old in the world!
