I love just about ANY flavor of ice cream, but you can never go wrong with Cookies 'n Cream Marital Status: I currently have a boyfriend (who I met here in Teter my freshman year), so for all of you single ladies out there: romance can bloom in the residence halls! What is your major (if you have one - or what are you studying)? The official title of my major is Teaching All Learners which is a double major of K-6 elementary and K-6 special education. What type of a person are you? I am a fun-loving girl who loves to laugh. I am extremely loyal to those I care about and I am very dedicated to my education. I am an affectionate person and I believe that human contact is a vital part of life (let's face it: most of us are happier in a group of smiling faces!). I also can tend to be very sarcastic (so don't always take me seriously) and I love to tease most everyone I meet (so beware!) I am easily amused and love anything and everything that has to do with children (yes that includes toys!!). One warning: I am big on smiles, so if you do not have one on, chances are I will pester you until I see those pearly whites! Smiles are contagious and spread like wildfire, so take a chance and light the flame! How strict are you? I am a flexible person in most aspects and am always willing to compromise if something is not working out to the benefit of all involved. However, I am not flexible when it comes to issues pertaining to the safety of persons who could possibly be affected by changing a decision. If there is confusion as to what is applicable, just remember that it never hurts to ask! The worst that can happen is that there is not an opportunity to compromise! When is your birthday? I am an April Baby! April 10th to be exact (Diamonds are a Girl's Best friend! ) What are your pet peeves? One of my biggest pet peeves are people who do not clean up after themselves, especially in a facility that accommodates 50 people. If we all do our part, then our community will be beautiful! I also cannot stand it when people do not appreciate those who perform tasks for us. Remember: Everyone responds well to positive reinforcement, so recognize those who are often neglect, especially our custodial staff! What are your passions? I love to do a variety of activities: I am an avid reader and writer (I am currently in the process of publishing some children's books illustrated by my mother) and I am a sports fan. As a Pittsburgh native, I am a HUGE Steelers fan (though I am not familiar with all of the players), but my favorite sports also include basketball, volleyball, softball, and golf. I am a big animal lover, and like most people who had to leave their pets at home, I am missing my orange tabby (we call him our mini-tiger because he is huge: 15 lbs but he is not fat at all, just big) named Tuskany Alabama, but we call him Pudds (don't ask). I am also very passionate when it comes to the political issues surrounding public education and the policies that coincide with the issues. I will try not to rant and rave, but I am just very frustrated with most of the entire format in which the education is designed. |
