Michael Hollman and Ann (Hollman) Ziegler -- Glass work
Brother and sister team Michael Hollman and Ann Hollman Ziegler are the third generation of Hollmans to run the glass works in Fort Wayne founded by their grandfather in 1944. Both responded to their father’s call to duty after college, becoming experts in their family’s trade.
Most of their work centers on restoring stained glass, with an emphasis on conservation: “You have to treat the people who built the original work with some respect.” It’s a philosophical challenge, Michael says, to balance between repairing and replacing old lead and glass. “We’re trying to conserve the original as much as we can.”
