IU Trombone Weekend

The IUITA has coordinated a commission project with the MidWest Clinic and the Indiana University Department of Bands. We have chosen Eric Ewazen to write a new concerto for tenor trombone and band with Joseph Alessi as soloist and the IU Wind Ensemble (Ray E. Cramer-conductor).

The World Premiere will take place at the MidWest Clinic in Chicago on December 18. There will be a MidWest Clinic preview concert during the IU Trombone Weekend.

8:0pm-IU Trombones Recital featuring M. Dee Stewart, Carl Lenthe, Peter Ellefson, the IU Trombone Choir (Carl Lenthe-director) and the IU Brass Choir (Ed Cord-Conductor)-Auer Hall*
