(1) After a terrible storm on Wednesday night, Thursday morning was bright and clear but cool and windy. Hot coffee tasted good to folks getting ready to board the bus for Chicago. (2) Our Star of Indiana bus driver, Floyd, with Louray Cain, Club manager, and Jennifer Knight, our tour guide from Grueninger Tours. (3)David Albright, Pat Smith and Gerald Marker chat during a rest stop on the way to Chicago.

(1)Travelers board the bus after the rest stop. Some people went to the Field Museum to see the Cleopatra exhibit Thursday afternoon while others went to lunch and sightseeing. Some even grabbed a nap before we met in the lobby at 6:45 for our evening adventure—“The Full Monty.” (2) Jennifer distributes tickets to the show. (3)“The Full Monty” was a highlight of the trip for many as group members laughed for almost three hours straight.

(1)Views of Chicago were taken from Room 1701 at the Executive Plaza Hotel on Wacker Drive in Chicago. Wacker Drive was all torn up, but our bus driver could still get us close to the front door. (3) With Friday morning being very windy in The Windy City, the lobby was a popular place to gather and read while we waited for our bus to take us to lunch at the Walnut Room at Marshall Field’s Department Store.
