University Club Women's Club Antique and Gardening Interest Group October Bus Trip to the Stream Cliff Herb Farm and Madison, IN.

It was a beautiful fall day. Members walked the grounds and enjoyed the garden paths. The owner of the Stream Cliff Herb Farm spoke to the group in the Grandmother's Keeping Room and then everyone went to the Twigs and Sprigs Tea Room for a delightful lunch enhanced with the use of herbs and edible flowers.

After lunch the group went to Madison to tour and shop. The highlight was a tour of the Lanier Mansion built by James Lanier in 1844. The pictures show the exterior of the house and grounds, the three story spiral staircase and a view from a hallway window. In town a wood carver is working in his shop producing Santas and other seasonal woodcarvings.
