Located in the Old Jail in Martinsville, this tea room has long been a favorite of Meadowood ladies. Unfortunately, they will close July 3,so this will be our last opportunity to sample the delicious soups, corn muffins and hummingbird cake. Join us just for the price of lunch.

The Boggstown Cabaret offers unique, live entertainment, featuring music from the 1900s-1960s, comedy and audience interaction all performed by professional entertainers. They borrow from the traditions of Vaudeville, a little from Vegas and Branson, a bit of Broadway, and come up with a fun interactive show. Price includes a lunch of slow roasted pot roast, baked potato, vegetable, slaw, fried biscuits and apple butter, dessert, tea or coffee. Price is $50 for UClub members and $52 for non-members.
Land of Lincoln Tour
May 12-13 Departs 7:00 a.m.
We will visit the Lincoln Presidential Museum, the Lincoln Home Visitor's Center and the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, a restored four-block neighborhood with a quaint, Quaker-brown residence - the only home Lincoln ever owned - and the home of the Lincoln family for 17 years (1844-1861) - as its centerpiece. We will also visit the Old State Capital, attend a special Civil War Retreat ceremony at the Lincoln Tomb, tour the Executive Mansion (home of seven former U.S. Presidents), the Dana Thomas Home (Frank Lloyd Wright Home) and visit New Salem State Park, a living history pioneer village that will take us back to Lincoln's life in the 1830's.
Overnight accommodation at the Hampton Inn, price of $164 for UClub members and $166 for non-members includes transportation, escort, snacks and beverages on the bus, breakfast and all tours. Lunches and dinners will be charged back.
Day at the Races

Experience the thrill of thoroughbred horse racing from the luxury of Millionaire's Row on the fourth floor of the Sky Terrace, and enjoys the delicious Chef's Table buffet. Trip includes coffee, pastries and Bloody Marys at 9:00 a.m. in the Terrace Room at Meadowood before
departure; track admission, racing form, buffet and afternoon refresh at Churchill Downs; and wine and snacks during the return trip. Price is $65 for UClub members and $67 for non-members.
The Lincoln Experience

We will visit the Buffalo Run Farm, located on property where Lincoln's cousin, Dennis Hanks, once lived; and Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, which is the site where Lincoln grew up. It is the first National Park established in Indiana and features
two memorial halls, a museum with a variety of exhibits and a 15-minute film. We will visit Colonel Jones Home, a restored 1834 Federal-design home of the merchant employer of Abraham Lincoln; and the Lincoln Pioneer Village. We will have dinner and see the play LINCOLN at the new Lincoln Amphitheatre, which will include an Amish family style meal, artisans on site, Lincoln archives, and a theatrical play about his life. During intermission we will have free, unlimited soft drinks and popcorn. Return around 11:30 p.m. Price of $60 for UClub members and $62 for non-members includes transportation, escort, all tours, and dinner show.
Picnic with the Pops

Take the Meadowood coach to the Bloomington Independence Day tradition. The concert begins with the children's parade, a militarycolor guard and salute to our armed forces and ends with a rousing performance of the 1812 Overture complete with cannons and afireworks finale. Price of $30 for UClub members and $32 for non-members and includes table seating, snacks, desserts, beer, wine andsoft drinks.
Baseball Outing in Indianapolis

Recognized as the "Best Minor League Ballpark in America" by prominent publications such as Baseball America and Sports Illustrated,Victory Field offers a spectacular view of the Indianapolis skyline. The $20 million facility boasts many unique features including an open concourse that offers a great view of the playing field throughout the ballpark. The Indians is the Triple-A affiliate for the Pittsburgh Pirates; we will see them host the Columbus Clippers after a lunch at Shapiro's. Cost is $30 for UClub members and $32 for non-members for transportation, park admission and snacks on the bus. Bring money for lunch and snacks at the ballpark.
IU Day at the State Fair

Visit the IU exhibits on State Fair Boulevard and wander at your leisure through the commercial buildings, the art and photography exhibits, the livestock barns, Pioneer Village, and other pavilions. Lunch and snacks are on your own. Cost of $25 for UClub membersand $27 for non-members includes admission, transportation, snacks and beverages on the way home. Return around 5:00 p.m.
Symphony on the Prairie

Glen Miller was one of the most successful of all the dance band leaders back in the swing era of the 1930s and 40s. This extravaganza includes all the great "big band" hits of the legendary Glen Miller Orchestra, as well as the great vocals. The 19-member band continues to play many of the original Miller arrangements that keep exciting fans who have not heard them played for a while. Price is $50 for UClub members and $52 for non-members and includes table seating, transportation, escort, picnic supper, wine, beer and soft drinks. Return to Meadowood around 11:30 p.m.

This trip is steeped in southern charm. The first stop is Ashville, NC (one night) for a guided tour of the historic Biltmore Estate. Then it's on to Charleston (four nights), where you will take the Charleston City Tour, visit Middleton Place, Nathaniel-Russell House, Calhoun Mansion, Gibbs Museum of Art, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, Edmundston-Alton Home, City Market, and Boone Hall Plantation. In addition, you will take the ferry to the Charleston Harbor/Fort Sumter Tour, the Charleston Tea Plantation Tour, and on Jekyll Island you will tour the Hotel and take the Historic District tram tour. Two full days will be spent in Savannah, where you will see the Savannah History Museum, the Mercer Williams House, take the Savannah City Tour, and see the Owens-Thomas House and Museum. The final day will be spent in Beaufort, SC for the Beaufort Trolley tour and the Gullah Tour on nearby St. Helena Island.
