Thank you to everyone for supporting last year's 50th anniversary campaign! We were fortunate to work with such an incredibly generous community on the IU campus. Led by key employee and university leadership, IU staff, faculty, and students raised over $650,000 for the community in 2007-08!

For 50 years the United Way of Monroe County has been working to address the most pressing human service issues for local residents. We would like to thank you for your leadership and commitment to improving people's lives in Monroe County.

Indiana University has consistently been a vital part of these efforts. As a service to its employees and to Monroe County, the Indiana University - Bloomington campus conducts a distinctive United Way campaign. This offers a convenient and affordable way to contribute money to charitable organizations through payroll deduction.

The IU family values its partnership with the community and the United Way. Since the early 1990s, under the leadership of IU President Thomas Ehrlich and his wife Ellen, the IU share of the local United Way's campaign has grown tremendously. IU President Adam Herbert continued this tradition. Today, the campus campaign raises over one-third of all donations to United Way of Monroe County and its partner agencies and programs.
