Hi, my name is Connie Hanson. I view advising as helping students find a good fit between their interests and the curriculum. It is my privilege to work with University Division freshmen as they engage in discovery – of IU, of the world, of others – but most of all themselves.
My educational background is in the liberal arts. I earned an A.B. from Vassar College and a M.A. from the University of Minnesota. I have advised in University Division since 1982 and am a recipient of an Outstanding Academic Advisor award.
Besides advising I enjoy reading contemporary fiction, studying foreign languages, word games and travel.
