Hi and welcome to IU!  My name is Sam Siner.  I am a second-year graduate student working toward my M.S. in Higher Education & Student Affairs.  In 2010, I graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and a Business minor, summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  I am passionate about helping students achieve their personal and academic goals.

My advising experience has included an internship as a Junior Academic Advisor with the Kelley School of Business, as well as advising with University Division.  In addition, during the school year I work as a Graduate Supervisor in Teter Residence Center, where I supervise RAs.  I have also worked with the Groups Student Support Services program.

I am from the Chicago area and I'm a diehard Cubs fan (for better or worse).  I also like to play guitar and piano, write music, run, and play Scrabble.  My word of advice for new freshmen: get involved!  Whether it's in your residence hall, in a campus group, or through community service, you're more likely to have fun AND get better grades - not a bad deal!
