Enter a Degree-Granting Unit (Certification)

Student records transferred from University Division to the degree-granting school of a declared major.

For many schools, three times a year (after fall, spring and summer II semesters) University Division students who have declared a major, met the necessary requirements for admission to the degree-granting school, and submitted the required application (if needed) before the deadline will be certified.

Certification depends on several factors: the major that is indicated on the permanent record (be sure you have declared one); fulfilled requirements (certification requirements are discussed in the University Division Planner); and whether the degree requires an application (check to see that you have filed all the proper application forms in the department to which you are applying.) Contact your University Division advisor if you need more information. To be eligible for certification, all of the above must be done before the last day of classes prior to one of the certification times.
