Admission Prerequisites

Admission to the College of Arts and Sciences requires:

  • Completion of 26 credit hours of degree requirements,
  • A  2.000 College GPA,
  • English composition (with a minimum grade of C–), and
  • An intended College major on record with the University Division.

Admission to the College is not competitive.  You do not need to complete an application for admission.  If you meet the minimum standards of the College you will be admitted into your intended major/degree program. 

EXCEPTIONS: The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degrees and the Individualized Major Program (IMP) have additional admission prerequisites.
