Step 5. Write an Autobiographical Sketch

HPPLC provides a Recommendation Request Letter document, which is a guide for writing a sketch to help recommenders know more about you. Use this as a guide, and write a short autobiographical sketch to give your recommender. Many professors will also request a copy of your resume. They also appreciate seeing examples of work you have done for them—so save assignments of which you are particularly proud.
