Apply for IU Tuition Benefit (formerly Fee Courtesy)
This plan, formerly known as IU Fee Courtesy Plan, has changed in name only. All plan components and provisions remain the same.
For Employees and Retirees
Benefit is a subsidy of covered tuition up to a dollar maximum per semester* based on the Indiana resident per-credit-hour rates at each campus, and in the case of some employees, on class standing (undergraduate, graduate, or professional). The employee/Retiree is responsible for all tuition costs above the dollar maximum, and any excluded fees.
For the spouse/qualified domestic partner of an eligible employee, deceased eligible employee, or Retiree
Benefit is a subsidy of covered tuition up to a dollar maximum per semester* based on the Indiana resident per credit-hour rates at each campus. Covered individuals are responsible for all tuition above the dollar maximum and excluded fees.
For dependent children
IU Tuition Benefit is 50 percent of the Indiana resident
undergraduate rate, up to a maximum of 140 credit hours towards
the first baccalaureate degree.
*Both summer sessions combined are considered as one semester.
Fee Courtesy
- Read the IU Tuition Benefit booklet or highlights (see below) to determine eligibility and carefully review deadlines.
- Complete the IU Tuition Benefit application form and return it to the Human Resources office on the campus where the class will be attended.
Indiana University High School (IUHS) Tuition Waiver
- Read the IU Tuition Benefit booklet or highlights (see below) to determine eligibility and carefully review deadlines.
- Complete the IUHS Tuition Waiver Enrollment form and return it to the University Human Resources Office on the Bloomington campus.
