New Part-time Academic and Staff Employees
Retirement Plans

Enrollment in the Base Retirement Plan is automatic for eligible employees. Employees are defaulted to the IU Tax Deferred Account at a 5% contribution rate unless they opt out during enrollment.  For all plans: If an employee is placed on leave at the time of initial employment, the employee's coverage becomes effective on the first day of active employment.
