OCTOBER 2007

The University plans to roll out a new compensation program for Professional Staff effective October 2007. The program is the result of CSI which entailed a full review of the Professional Staff compensation system.

The primary objective of the new program is to provide objective, market-based information for management decisions regarding salaries. In addition, with the help of schools and departments, 5500 Professional Staff positions were allocated to broad levels and salary ranges tied to the relevant labor market.

Objective

"To install a fair and rational compensation system for all Professional Staff jobs across the university, with objective criteria for management decisions regarding employee pay."
