Hiring policies for specific positions

In addition to the list of resources and policies listed above, departments must follow the specific procedures for advertising and filling positions according to the type of vacancy.

Benefit Plans and Orientation

Enrollment in certain IU benefit plans must take place within 60 days of the date of hire. See the table in the link below. New employees must attend an orientation session to learn more about IU benefit plans and programs. Then, an orientation to the employee's new department is recommended.

New-employee Evaluation

Departments must follow the specific procedures for evaluating new employees according to the position.
