JOB TITLE AND GRADE: Multi-Craft Worker / SM0U

JOB PURPOSE:

Is certified in one area of expertise and cross-trained to perform basic tasks in at least two other related craft areas.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all duties of a worker in area of expertise as described on appropriate job specification.

Performs basic tasks in at least two other craft areas as described on appropriate job specifications.

Performs other general building maintenance as needed.

Drives vehicle as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in the area of expertise and cross-trained areas.

Ability to operate power equipment used in area of expertise and cross-trained areas; ability to use hand tools.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or GED

Experience: Two years experience in primary area

Required Certifications/Licenses: Completion of DOL-certified apprenticeship or equivalent training in main trade and cross-trained in two other related areas; valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standing, walking, driving, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs multiple times per shift, fingering, talking, hearing, and seeing.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Equal amounts of time spent indoors and outdoors with possible exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures for one hour plus. Possible exposure to distracting/uncomfortable noise levels and vibration of body or extremities. Risk of bodily injury from mechanical parts, electricity, etc. Possible exposure to fumes, odors, etc. that may affect respiration and skin.
