JOB TITLE AND GRADE: Stores Attendant IV / SMOM

JOB CODE: 001157

JOB PURPOSE:

Under direct supervison, receives and stores shipments and unloads and distributes items to appropriate destination areas to sell.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receives and processes shipments; unloads boxes from truck, checks packing lists for purchase order numbers, and assists with checking in vendor shipments.

Receives all food and other supplies for food service unit. Stores all items in appropriate areas.

Delivers food and supplies to departments as ordered on daily requisition.

Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Issues or distributes materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.

Performs other tasks as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to perform work requiring considerable standing and heavy physical effort.

Some knowledge operating electric forklift, electric order picker, two wheel hand truck, and banding machine.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or GED

Experience: One year previous inventory control experience, or other experience in a related occupation, e.g., stock clerk, etc.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting, standing, walking, squatting/kneeling, climbing, balancing, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50lbs multiple times per shift, fingering, talking, hearing, and seeing.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Spends most time indoors. Risk of bodily injury from mechanical parts, electricity, etc. Possible exposure to fumes, odors, etc. that may affect respiration and skin.
