Job Purpose
This is supervisory and administrative work overseeing the daily retail operations of a facility and performing administrative tasks related to those operations.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

Schedules and supervises staff and hourly personnel; provides training; assigns duties; explains procedures.; participates in hiring and firing.
Recommends ways to increase profitability, store layout, display, product line, etc.
Opens and closes facility; oversees opening of registers and preparation of cash drawers.
Performs inventory control functions including: maintaining stock, filling special orders and requisitions, monitoring inventory, handling customer problems, processing incoming shipments, and assisting in purchase of some inventory items.
Assists in management of special projects and events.
Monitors and maintains facility and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of computer and database/spreadsheet software.
Knowledge of retailing standards and procedures.
Good communication skills.
Supervisory skills and experience.
Ability to successfully interact with a diverse customer/employee base.
Minimum Requirements

Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: One year retail experience.
