Job Purpose
This is moderately complex technical work performing a variety of technical and administrative tasks related to the coordination and operation of computer systems.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Restarts/reruns jobs into the computer system; tests and debugs software.
Monitors system and software application performance; initiates corrective action on any problems.
Monitors equipment condition; performs regular maintenance on computing systems and automated backup systems.
Performs disaster recovery of data.
Trains all staff on system and software; assists in overseeing staff; serves as resource on technical questions.
Maintains all documentation; changes or adds as necessary.
Completes and distributes Daily Summary Report.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of multiple operating systems, software and utilities.
Basic equipment maintenance skills and knowledge.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to exercise independent judgement.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Associates degree in computer science, computer systems technology, or a closely related field. Directly related work experience may be substituted at a ratio of two years of progressively more responsible experience for each year of education.
Experience: Two years computer programming experience.
