Job Purpose
This is complex technical work performing a variety of tasks related to the operation of scanners to gather, manipulate, and analyze data.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees and coordinates the conversion of various documents into electronic/digital format.
Ensure adherence to procedures for the collecting, batching, cataloguing and archiving of documents and materials. Maintains security and confidentiality of the information being processed.
Consults with customers to ascertain needs and expectations; performs any special preparations needed to ready data for scanning. Serve as resource on issues related to records management practices and procedures.
Operates scanners and other imaging equipment; performs routine maintenance; works with technical staff to maintain and update equipment, software and settings; keeps maintenance records.
Maintains inventory of supplies; records usage; reorders as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and other software applications.
Knowledge of structured programming techniques.
Basic computer maintenance skills and knowledge.
Problem solving skills.
Good organizational, communication and time management skills.
Good record keeping skills.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: One year of document or records management systems experience using electronic/digital reproduction equipment.
