2014 Summer Camps

The Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington

Camp Rock serves campers entering grades 1-8 and offers a Counselor in Training (CIT) program for youth entering grades 9-12. The Club provides transportation between the Lincoln Street Unit and Camp Rock.  They also offer a summer center at the Lincoln Street location.

City of Bloomington

Kid City is open to kindergarten through fourth-graders, while Kid City Quest is open to fifth-through seventh-graders.

Camp schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am -5:30pm

Girls Inc.

The program, which is open to girls 6 through 17, includes a variety of field trips, crafts, games and swimming. Families can register for individual weeks or the whole summer.

Teens ages 12-17 can also register for Special Teen Science Camp weeks.

IU Sports Camps

Hoosier Sports Camps, a comprehensive directory of sports camps put on by the coaches at Indiana University. Whether you're searching for a day camp, an overnight camp, an instructional camp or a recreational camp, you'll find information and registration links for all sports - baseball, tennis, basketball, soccer, swimming and more. 

Sports camps are not available summer long.  Sessions and times vary.

Ivy Tech

Ivy Tech Center for Lifelong Learning has a number of summer camps available for young people. Each camp varies in age requirement and cost.

Karst Day Camp

Karst Day Camp is offered by Monroe County Parks and Recreation. This year they offer one week sessions. Activities include: arts & crafts, games, sports, nature programs, guest speakers, playground times, swimming, splash pad time, local and out-of-town field trips.

The Monroe County Community School Corp.’s summer programs are taking place at Fairview Elementary School. MCCSC EdVenture camp includes daily activities in small and large groups, field trips throughout Bloomington including trips to the public pool, as well as extended periods of time spent outdoors during the summer months

Full day camp 9:00am -3:00pm
Early Risers 6:30am -9:00am
AfterCamp EdVentures 3:00pm-6:00pm
Camp schedule:  Monday – Thursday – no camp on Fridays, 6:30am – 6:00pm (with extended day)

The Monroe County YMCA is hosting a day camp and a number of specialty camps this summer that are open to children 2 through 15 years of age.

Camp schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am -3:00pm (7:00am – 6:00pm with extended day)
Extended camp hours for kids ages 4 – 10

WonderCamp is the Wonder Lab’s popular summer science enrichment program for children entering kindergarten through sixth grade (in fall 2014). WonderCamp is held Monday through Thursday at University Elementary School on Bloomington’s northeast side, and will take place at WonderLab on Fridays.                

Camp schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00am -4:00pm (8:00am – 5:00pm with extended day)
