Chinese-American Network Symposium welcomes you!
Indiana University is pleased to host the 2008 Chinese-American Network Symposium. The university's historic relationship with China dates back over a century and includes partnerships with many of the top Chinese universities. This symposium extends that long and productive relationship. For nearly a decade, this annual event has brought together leading networking experts from the United States and China to exchange information, technical knowledge, and best practices for managing advanced international networks. As CANS has grown in size and scope, it has fostered creative collaborations among educational and research institutions and the business sectors of both nations that have generated major new ideas and advancements in networking technology and infrastructure development.
This year's CANS event in Indianapolis has adopted the "One World One Dream" theme of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. This theme reminds us of the importance of global collaboration and cooperation that help us better understand the complexities of network interoperability and explore new ways to work together to promote seamless networking. More broadly, such collaboration has the potential to expand our research and scholarly activities, strengthen our communities, and deepen our understanding of the world.
I invite you to learn more about this exciting symposium and welcome you to Indiana University.
