Greeknet: Other Considerations and Agreements
The LAN must use non-shared media (switched Ethernet) to connect all
end-user workstations. The Greek house is responsible for the design,
installation, and maintenance of the LAN. IU organizations will be designed,
installed and maintained by UITS. There is billing associated with none
general funded organizations. The Greek house or IU organization and
UITS will agree upon a location and facilities (power, ventilation,
etc.) to support the router and T1 circuit termination equipment. UITS
will maintain the router configuration. For security reasons the Greek
house or IU organization will not have direct access to the router configuration.
