Greeknet Prerequisites
In order to connect to the GreekNet (and the IUB network), the following
components must exist:
- An agreed to equipment location and demarcation point.
- An established account with The Student Activities Office or IU account
for IU organizations.
- A signed agreement with UITS.
- A signed contract with Ameritech.
- A LOA (Letter Of Authorization) from IU to Ameritech.
- A local area network (LAN) with the Greek house. IU does not support
the LAN with the Greek house.
- A router with maintenance purchased through IU/UITS (model and configuration
specified by UITS).
- An Ameritech-provided T1 connection to the Ameritech Bloomington office.
