Indiana University Network Operations Center

The Indiana University Network Operations Center (IU NOC) manages a wide range of services and provides tier-one network support for the IUPUI campus, and the Indiana University state wide area network (WAN) to Bloomington and the eight regional campuses. In providing these services, the NOC offers oversight of problem, configuration and change management, network security, performance and policy monitoring, reporting, quality assurance, scheduling, and documentation. The NOC provides a structured environment that effectively coordinates operational activities with all customers and vendors related to the function of the network.

Global Research Network Operations Center

The Global Research Network Operations Center (Global NOC) at Indiana University manages the international network connections from advanced research and education in Asia/Pacific, Europe, Russia and South America to the Science Technology and Research Transit Access Point (STAR TAP) and the leading US high performance and research networks such as Abilene (the project that supports the Internet2 project, the NSF's very high performance Backbone Network Service (vBNS) and the Department of Energy's ESNET.
