About Us

The UITS Communications Office coordinates, facilitates, and manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of communications on behalf of the Office of the Vice President for Information Technology and University Information Technology Services at Indiana University. 

A single office with staff on both the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses of Indiana University, the UITS Communications Office includes project managers, writers, artists, and multimedia specialists who assist in formulating vision, mission, and goals for communications activities for information technology at Indiana University.

Focusing on user information, public relations, planning, and events, we:

  • Inform the multi-campus IU community about information technology tools, resources, support, and services
  • Develop and implement integrated communications plans and campaigns for IT initiatives and services on behalf of the university
  • Publish information about information technology at IU in various media and formats, including print, online, email, RSS, podcasts, video, and audio
  • Plan and execute IT-related conferences, events, and information displays 
  • Serve as liaisons with the media on behalf of the organization
