Analyst Programmer - PA2IT
Description and Responsibilities:
Provides design and development solutions for the Enterprise Business Intelligence environment utilizing the latest .NET technologies. Works closely with teams to develop and design custom software solutions; collaborates in integrating services from old to new reporting portal; collaborates with Enterprise Business Intelligence Project Team leaders to develop and design custom software solutions using Windows and web applications. Works face-to-face with stakeholders to identify requirements, create architecture, and implement innovative solutions; delivers and supports critical operations of the university enterprise business intelligence reporting portal; and works both independently and collaboratively as a member of the Enterprise Decision Support Services team. Develops and maintains excellent relationships with our development partners and customers through careful consideration and thorough communication on analysis and programming assignments and shows initiative, creativity, and innovation in the development of stable, sustainable, and efficient business computing solutions.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in computer or information sciences or a related field and two years experience designing and implementing large and high-performance internet-facing web applications in .NET, ASP.NET and C#.
Knowledge of SOA based design, architectural, and integration patterns along with ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework and experience using Team Foundation Server to maintain development process.
General knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as SQL DB and SharePoint services; background in .NET 4.0, WCF, Workflow Foundation, and other Microsoft technologies; and experience with ASP.NET MVC v4 and Entity Framework 4. Broad knowledge of ASP.NET architecture and development as well as a strong knowledge of web services such as SOAP and REST; experience with HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and JQuery; and excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively as a member of a team within a complex, dynamic environment.
Preferred: Experience with Linux, Oracle, SQL Server, Microsoft BI tools.
