Assistant Manager, IT Training - PA4IT
Description and Responsibilities:
This position will direct the daily operations of the UITS IT Training at IUPUI. Coordinate the development and delivery of campus-wide IT training focusing primarily on analyzing and evaluating student, faculty and staff technology training needs, and providing the appropriate instructional services to meet those needs. Manage and coordinate the selection, development and preparation of training material and resources. Manage the IUPUI IT Training staff. Supervise professional staff in developing associated training and support resources. Serve on various IT Training committees ensuring high quality development programs. Stay current with best practices in online training delivery through research and professional correspondence and conferences, and ensure outstanding quality in all training development and delivery. Represent the university at professional conferences and events.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree, plus 5 years of relevant experience, 3 years of supervisory experience and project management experience, and 3 years of instructional technology or
related experience, conducting workshops and training and creating instructional, training or informational materials. Must have excellent team leading skills, including strong team
building, problem solving, decision making, motivation, and communication skills. Master's preferred.
Demonstrated abilities in instructional technology leadership and development, with specific experience in instructional development and delivery. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for working collaboratively within a diverse campus community. Project management and supervisory experience. In-depth knowledge of a wide range of software applications and related technologies. Knowledge of current IT training applications, technologies and trends, and knowledge of best practices in classroom and online training development.
