Oncourse Quality Assurance Intern
Will participate as part of the Oncourse course management team as well as the Sakai (www.sakaiproject.org) open-source community. The intern will gain experience in the practical application of information technology to real-world system problems, including gaining exposure to cutting edge information technologies used in building and supporting enterprise instructional and collaborative research systems. Working with the quality assurance project lead the intern will develop, test, and implement automated tests using open-source testing frameworks.
Description of duties:
Participate in technical tasks relating to the design, development, support and maintenance of computer programs systems. This includes module
testing and debugging and system integration and testing; prepare system, project, program and user documentation. Generate required test data files
and execute testing procedures.
Participate in meetings as requested. Serve as liaison with clients and other Sakai partners to present problems and suggest solutions, including systems design and implementation.
Maintain current knowledge of technical developments in computer software, operating systems, programming languages and tools, and system design techniques.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a major in a related information technology degree program. Required qualifications include the ability to design, implement,
and test moderately complex software programs. Experience with web development and JavaScript is desired.
