Position Available: Support Center Consultant
The UITS Support Center is hiring part-time consultant positions. Consultants are scheduled to work between 20-29 hours per week. The starting wage is $10.00 with a raise to $10.25 after passing the 90 day probationary period.
Consultants provide technical assistance to all IU and IU-supported affiliates over multiple services such as phone, email, chat, and walk-in. Duties for all consultants include, but are not limited to, providing technical and troubleshooting support for both Windows and Macintosh desktops, mobile devices, IU central systems, networking, and updating technical documentation in the IU Knowledge Base for both internal and public consumption. Some consultants may also track system outages and post notices to inform IU affiliates. We are committed to providing excellent customer service during every single customer contact.
Our service extends 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and our schedules are set on a semester basis.
Qualifications:
Applicants are required to have prior customer service experience, proven technical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to speak English clearly and well.
