Position Available:Github Support Specialist and Advocate (Hourly)
The High Performance Applications group seeks to fill an hourly position for six months with the possibility of renewal. The successful applicant will help support users on IU.s local installation of Github:Enterprise. Duties will consist of addressing trouble tickets, giving tutorials, and promoting Github:Enterprise use in general throughout the University.
Pay is $12.00 an hour, with the possibility to work from home.
Qualifications: Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Experience using Linux.
- Experience with source control systems and methodologies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to develop training materials with little supervision
- Experience with a scripting language e.g., pERL, Python, Ruby, JAVA....
Previous experience using IU's HPC systems is highly desirable. Basic experience with a compiled programming language (FORTRAN, C, C++) is desirable.
