Interactive Campus QR Coded Multimedia Tour Intern
Project overview:
This internship will develop an interactive multimedia tour of the Northwest campus using QR Codes linked to short web-based videos, which describe each building, its attributes, and location on a campus map and history. The selected intern would write and produce each video, structure the web page and develop QR Codes for each building. This intern would have to coordinate smart phone technology, video production, webpage design with multiple disciplines on campus.
Description of duties:
- Research and create the video script for each building.
- Shoot the video for each building.
- Capture the audio track for each building.
- Digitally edit video for each building.
- Design and coordinate webpage creation for each video.
- Champion the design and installation of the QR plaques for each building.
- Collaboratively determine the communication required to communicate the QR Interactive Tour to the campus and surrounding community.
Qualifications:
The position is ideal for a detail-oriented junior, senior or graduate student; experience working with digital editing software and video capture is a plus; experience in creating screencasts, script writing, animations, web development, digital video, podcasts, or other multimedia presentations; and an interest in online delivery of graphic based material. Basic knowledge of multimedia applications and the ability to create, edit, and prepare digital text; audio and/or video files are strongly preferred. A minimum of ten hours a week is expected.
