IT Community Partnership Intern
Assist with the communications and community building efforts of the Managers of IT Community Partnerships (ITCP). This internship would be appropriate for students at any campus, including regional campuses, with backgrounds or interest in marketing, communications, public relations, technology, and/or social networking tools.
The interns' responsibilities include working with the Managers of ITCP to monitor their communications outlets, such as Twitter, Facebook, e-mail, and various blogs. Duties will include researching current, relevant, technology-related news from around the world, and writing descriptions of those news items in order to relay that information to the IT community via Twitter and other ITCP outlets. To help build the community of IT professionals, the intern will also identify informal sources of IT-related news within Indiana University, such as faculty, staff, and student blogs, and then help make those sources of information accessible to others. As part of this project, the intern will have an opportunity to work with many members UITS and the extended IT community.
