Systems Analyst Programmer - PAE3IT
Description and Responsibilities:
Funded for 1 year with the potential for renewal, develops enhancements supporting Human Resources and Timekeeping systems deployed in a J2EE / AIX / Oracle infrastructure environment. Collaborates with HRMS business analysts and teams within the central computing organization. With developers and functional team members, gathers, documents and validates information systems requirements for complex business processes or technical challenges. Establishes estimates and designs application solutions. Develops, tests and deploys complex programs; assists with management of application releases; and develops interfaces between HRMS and other applications. Additional responsibilities may include analyzing existing PeopleSoft functionality, designing programmatic solutions to fit PeopleSoft functionality to IU's business needs, developing and testing programs using PeopleCode, Cobol, and SQR, tuning delivered processes for improved performance, troubleshooting system problems, and designing improvements to system components to remove system problems and errors.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in information technology or related field and two or more years professional computing experience developing enterprise level
software required. Mastery of Web development and relational databases required. Experience with Java application design / design patterns required.
Strong technical leadership skills, excellent problem solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must have a
strong customer service attitude and enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented environment. Oracle experience preferred. Strong SQL / relational
database / data modeling skills and extensive systems analysis and design experience with enterprise systems highly desired.
