Lead Systems Engineer - PA3IT
Description and Responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision performs analysis, programming, and other tasks related to the implementation and administration of complex services comprising the messaging and network application environments. Provides services such as email backbone, name serving, news serving, gateway services, security, and account services, centralized systems networking software, and messaging services. Includes design, development, implementation, maintenance and operation of the services. Provides support to internal and external users, primarily for questions referred from front-line support providers; maintains network application environment to ensure maximum availability and performance; and quickly investigates and resolves instances of outage, and when necessary, performs duties during non-working hours on an on-call basis. Participates as technical representative of the group on various assigned projects, including strategic analysis and planning; undertakes tasks as assigned by project leaders and managers from across the organization; and performs analysis of hardware and software system performance. Prepares management reports which include not only data on performance, but also analysis of impact; assists senior staff in transforming this analysis into tactical and operation plans; and makes recommendations for future actions.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in an information technology or related discipline and four years of professional computing experience in systems development work in Windows environments.
Combinations of related education and experience will be considered. Expertise in Microsoft Windows server system administration; strong understanding of Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange and Active Directory; and understanding of Research In Motion Blackberry Enterprise Server, Lync, Data Protection Manager, and Forefront Threat Management Gateway. Experience with enterprise class server hardware installations.
Preferred: Experience with Windows Scripting, TCP-IP protocols, Microsoft SQL plus MCSE certification is highly desired.
