Multimedia Production Intern
Project overview:
The intern will assist with the creation of multimedia content to support the educational and promotional needs of the IU South Bend campus.
Possible projects include: assisting with the development of a series of online videos to support the Center for Sustainability at IU South Bend; assisting with development of instructional media for IU South Bend schools; and identifying creative multimedia strategies for effectively communicating with IU South Bend students.
Description of duties:
- Assist with the creation of content used in online video and audio, web pages, and other multimedia objects for use in training and general
communication; create and revise web pages and multimedia tutorials.
- Assist with lighting, recording and editing on-location video, audio, or other media; digitize and log source footage.
- Contribute to creative decisions, notably: subject research, script writing, visual design, and editing/post-production.
Qualifications:
The position would be ideal for a junior or senior with coursework or experience in visual design, new media, web design, or other multimedia presentations, but is open to anyone with good computing skills who is creative, well organized, and has a genuine interest in multimedia production, podcasts, wikis, blogs and related technologies. Interest in online delivery of training and communication is required. Basic knowledge of composition, design principles, multimedia applications and the ability to create, edit, and prepare digital audio files is strongly preferred.
