Manager, Campus Network Infrastructure - PA4IT
Description and Responsibilities:
Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Bloomington/Indianapolis campus network. Oversees an enterprise level core routing environment, a highly sophisticated firewall configuration, a 1300 node switching environment, and a 5000 access point wireless network.
Leads the technological advancement of the existing campus data network infrastructure through close coordination with nine appointed staff and other managers and technicians within UITS.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, computer science, or related field and five years of experience in areas of installation, integration, configuration, and
maintenance of telecommunication networks including at least three years of supervisory experience.
Management experience in network administration, system administration, large data network environments, and network and computer operations; experience with contract negotiations, requests for proposals, and hardware and software purchasing; excellent interpersonal, motivational, and customer-service skills; and ability to handle multiple priorities and constantly changing demands.
Preferred: Experience in computer and telecommunications management with broad experience in information technology and/or related fields.
