Network Engineer - PA2IT (Two positions available)
Description and Responsibilities:
The Network Engineer will serve as a member of the GlobalNOC Networks Engineering team to support the various networks, which are essential for the delivery of Global Research Network On-Call (NOC) services 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
Some key duties and responsibilities are: Perform analysis, design, programming, documentation, troubleshooting, and support installation of network systems.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Systems or related technical discipline from an
accredited institution, plus 1 - 2 years of experience in information technology environment with increasing
complexity and scope. Combination of related education and experience may be considered on 2:1 ratio.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills are also required. Computer networks (local and wide area). Experience with the following is desirable: Layer 1, 2 and 3 technologies. JunOS, IOS-XR, IOS, other network software packages. Practical experience supporting one or more research networks.
