Support Center Computer Coordinator - SS0H (Two positions available)
Description and Responsibilities:
Responsible for running the Support Center during the overnight hours. This is a high-level system analysis position making mission critical decisions that affect the productivity of the faculty, staff, and students of Indiana University. Staff performs troubleshooting techniques on applications that could impact one or thousands of workstations across multiple campuses. Communication with customers, application owners, system administrators, and support staff is a critical responsibility of this position. Supervises hourly staff.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Associate degree in computer science, computer systems technology, or a closely related field and one year of computing support experience.
Directly related work experience may be substituted at a ratio of two years of progressively more responsible experience for each year of education.
Experience with the following: Macintosh OS, INTEL OS, and Server OS; Unix, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and OSX; and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Flash, Adobe Photoshop or other type of image editing software; and e-mail technology including Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Mac Mail, and Entourage. Proficient with Internet Applications including FTP, WWW, and VPN; experience with database development including Visual Basic; and familiar with network configurations and protocols.
Preferred: Two years of computing support experience.
