Position Available: Support Center Consultant (Hourly)

The UITS Support Center is hiring for part time consultant positions. Student consultants are required to work at least 20 hours per week and no more than 36 hours per week. Evening and weekend work is required and we require a commitment to work at least 2 full semesters, not including the summer. The starting wage is $10.00 per hour.

Consultants provide technical assistance to all IU and IU-supported affiliates over multiple services such as phone, email, chat, and walk-in. Duties for all consultants include, but are not limited to, providing technical and troubleshooting support for both Windows and Macintosh desktops, mobile devices, IU central systems, networking, and updating technical documentation in the IU Knowledge Base for both internal and public consumption. Some consultants may also track system outages and post notices to inform IU affiliates. We are committed to providing excellent customer service during every single customer contact.

Qualifications: Applicants are required to have prior customer services experience, proven technical abilities, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to speak English clearly and well.
