Systems Analyst Programmer - PAE3IT
Description and Responsibilities:
Facilitates the implementation of enterprise research administration systems at IU; supports existing enterprise systems (ERA, AIM, Coeus IRB); provides expertise in customization, integration, and implementation of KC with existing IU enterprise systems (including financial and HR); works at a highly technical level providing development expertise and leadership in application maintenance and support; and participates in tactical and strategic planning sessions to address the University's computing goals. Plays a critical role as an Analyst/Programmer working on the Indiana University Research Administration Systems Team. Major projects include the implementation of Kuali-Coeus - a nationally recognized community source development project (see http://kuali.iu.edu/kc/kc.shtml and http://kuali.org/communities/kc/ for details) and the ongoing support of enterprise systems at IU.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three years professional computing experience required. Working closely with a wide range of customers, which necessitates
excellent oral and written communications skills. Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic
environment. Master's degree and at least three years of professional computing experience developing enterprise-level software desired. Enterprise
scale applications development experience engineering and implementing J2EE Web applications desired. Experience with and knowledge of the Tomcat
Servlet container, one or more RDBMS (Oracle/MySQL), and multiple of the following standards and development tools: JSP, Struts, XML, OJB, Spring,
Eclipse, CVS, jUnit, log4J, and common design patterns is desired. Occasional overnight travel required.
