Student & Faculty Outreach Coordinator - PA2IT
Description and Responsibilities:
Focus on the coordination and support of pilot projects that utilize emerging technologies, and which could be implemented in a teaching and learning context. Consult with university student leadership to gather input on which technologies best reflect student interest and engagement. Work with the campus centers for teaching and learning in developing communication outreach strategies to help identify pilot participants. Assist in identifying emerging applications and trends in learning technologies. Assist in all stages of collaboration to reduce obstacles to success; to assist in implementation when necessary; and to insure full communication between all parties concerned.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in communications, computer science/informatics/instructional technology or related field plus demonstrated experience in communicating about and/or coordination
of projects involving new or emerging technologies, preferably in a higher education context. Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze and summarize information pertaining to IT and
across a wide range of IT topics, including but not limited to those technologies which have a teaching and learning focus. Knowledge of factors and issues impacting the use of IT
in a university setting, as well as emerging IT trends that could be adopted for use in a university setting, is required. Ability to present technical information to a general
audience in written format, as well as in individual and group presentations, is also required.
