Systems Analyst and Functional Specialist - PA3IT

Description and Responsibilities:

Work independently to provide project leadership and expertise in both the technical and functional implementation of the Talisma CRM as well as other University enterprise and campus specific systems for IU Northwest departments needing assistance with these systems. Help to translate functional areas appropriately into the system and adapt their business practices to take best advantage of system features.

Position also helps departments align their implementations and practices with other IU campuses and coordinates training, communication, and support efforts. Develops standards and best practices, and applies a user-centric approach to department-specific configurations of enterprise systems. Design, write and maintain computer programs and database queries to provide functions and services in a Windows LAN-based environment. Design and conduct needs assessment and produce databases and other computer programs that provide interfaces to enter data, generate reports, automate technical or business processes, provide better methods of performing technical or business processes, or make a new technical or business process possible. Design and conduct needs assessment, conduct analyses, and produce reports. Make recommendations for creating new information architecture, develop data retrieval strategies, and design and produce reports to support planning and decision support for the campus. Display a strong customer service orientation.

Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a technical field, preferably in computer systems analysis, programming, and systems design, or equivalent training and experience. 2 years computer programming or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to using SQL or other query language, Visual Basic, C++, C#, or Java J2EE. Desired experience includes SQL, C#, relational database structures, HTML, HTML5, XML and PHP.

Preferred: Prior experience with CRM software or enterprise software implementation a plus. Information technology project management experience and business process analysis experience.

Other: Self-motivated. Ability to foster and maintain collaborations with customers with a professional, service-based approach. Ability to interact successfully in extended consultations with people of varying abilities and levels of knowledge. Excellent communication skills. Ability and desire to learn new technologies and tools. Initiative in evaluating and adopting new technologies. Demonstrated conceptual, analytical, and logical abilities.
