WCMS and Mobile Enable Student Activity Web Information Intern

Project overview:
Expose student intern to modern web development techniques by working with the campus Web Services team on a project to migrate selected student activity related websites into the campus's WCMS implementation. The student intern will ensure the webpage design is mobile friendly and utilizes social media as appropriate.
Description of duties:
The intern will be responsible for identifying and performing an inventory of student activity related websites (e.g., student clubs), communicating with the website owners, faculty advisors, and the student club constituents to ensure effective communication and coordination of efforts. Will participate in design of an appropriate WCMS template and will help plan and implement the migration of data into the new environment. The intern will work with the student club representatives to determine if the use of social media to advertise and broadcast student activities would be desirable and will work with the student activity constituents to utilize social media tools as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Applicant should be a junior or senior majoring in Computer Information Systems or other technical or business field, and have some prior experience with web programming tools. Must have an excellent understanding of social media and its potential use in a campus environment.
