Actions Taken in Response to 2006 Survey
Your responses to the survey are very valuable to UITS. Each year your judgments
help guide our plans and activities. Projects undertaken in response to
the 2006 survey include:
- Reduced the length of the UITS user survey
- Added many requested capabilities to Oncourse CL
- Extended the hours of availability for online self-services
- Provided more access points to extend the wireless network and
improve performance
- Implemented a new infrastructure to help quarantine spam email
- Enhanced support for research by acquiring IU's Big Red
supercomputer
- Developed online method for individuals to reset forgotten
passwords
- Installed new technology in the general purpose classrooms
- Launched an online system to encourage collaboration among Local
Support Providers
- Initiated a unified messaging system that gives users more flexibility
in how they receive and hear their voicemail
